Twas the Night Before Christmas!

It's Christmas Eve!! I cannot believe that the jolly, big man comes tonight!!!! I just love my boys so much and cannot wait to see the excitement in their eyes as they come down the stairs Christmas morning! Davis has been taking more steps, but he still prefers to crawl. He has also learned to say "hohoho" whenever he sees Santa. It's just too cute! Jackson is enjoying being off from school. He was in the church play last week as a shepherd and a wise man. He did great and was wonderful, as usual!! He is just growing too fast! I spent the afternoon looking at pictures from Christmas past...he has gotten so big!

I just love the weekends!

Weekends are the best! Not because we are off work (which is a perk), but I love spending time with my boys!
This has been another great week! We had a holiday party at the Murphy's this week for the boys. While there, we had a special visit from Santa! Jackson was in awe as he watched Santa! He was watching him play the harmonica!

Davis loved Santa-not scared at all!! At one point Santa got in the floor and played cars with him! It was sweet!

Both my boys loved Santa! It is such a magical time of year!

Davis also started taking more steps on Thursday night! He's taking 8-10 at a time now!! He is such a big boy!!

Today, daddy and Jackson were in the FarmVille parade!

Davis watched, but he wasn't that impressed!!

I cannot believe that it is Christmastime!!! This has been the fastest year!!!
So much has happened over the past few weeks. Davis is still sick~Poor baby!!! He has had four ear infections back-to-back. He goes to the ENT tomorrow and I am pretty sure that he will be getting tubes again :( Davis continues to take a few steps here and there, but he still prefers his knees or my hips to get around!! Jackson loves school still which is such a blessing! He is learning sooo much about letters and sounds! I am sooo proud of him!! Here is an art project he made!

Marc is still recovering from his back surgery, but he is doing well. He went back half days at work last week and is glad to be transitioning back to real life! He is having to limit himself in lifting still, but he is able to do more!
I have not been feeling great either! I have had immense muscle pain in my legs and arms. This has been on-going for the past few days. I went to urgent care today and they found nothing. It was good to be found "healthy", but I am still worried about the pain.
The house looks like Christmas~Wreaths on the windows and doors, tree is decorated, and Zeek~Our Little Elf has arrived!! He was caught toasting a marshmallow on a candle!! I cannot wait to see my boys on Christmas morn!!

Gearing up for Christmas~

Time continues to fly!!! This week was another busy week! Marc went Monday to the neurosurgeon and had his staples removed. He was cleared to ride/drive! Thank God!! He went to work two half days this week and is trying to ease back into a routine!
Thanksgiving was Thursday! It was a fun-filled day with laughter and smiles! We met with Marc's parents, brothers, Aunt and Uncle, Cousins, and his grandparents, as well as my mom, her boyfriend, dad and step-mom and her mother! Wooh! That is a bunch of folks!!
Davis LOVED Thanksgiving!!! He was stuffing his face as fast as he could!! He was just too cute!

Jackson enjoyed the company of his cousins and spending time with them.
Mom and I spent Thursday evening and Friday morning shopping! This was the first time we did this together. We had a good time, spent lots, saved lots, and had many laughs! After a few hours sleep we got up and headed to the outlets! It was a good time! Davis picked out some things too!!

Oh~Marc won principal of the year for Edgecombe County! So proud of him and all his accomplishments!!

Another weekend is gone....

Well it has been a long weekend, but it's gone by fast! Marc is slowly recovering....it is difficult for me, but we will survive! I know it's hard on him not being able to do anything! This was a big weekend for Mr. Davis! He took two steps last night!! He was sooo proud! I can't believe he will be walking soon....everything is just going too fast! This morning he played in the tub and he discovered that he can double handed splash the tub!! He was too cute!! Tonight he was playing with his car zoomer track, it spins cars...he climbed on the spinner and twirled himself around because he was too heavy to spin!! Cute!!!

What a week!!??!!

Busy week! Husband was having severe leg/hip pain...went to neurosurgeon on Monday, he had a protruding disk that broke and the piece was pinching a nerve...they scheduled the surgery for Tuesday.....Davis had a slight fever Monday, so we took him in, knowing hubby was having surgery....doctors said it was too early, but possible ear infection. I spent Monday trying to organize life to prepare for Davis not going to daycare and for the time hubby will be out of commission, as well as preparing for me to be out of work.
We woke early Tuesday to get to the hospital just to wait! I was a nervous wreck and I am sure that Marc was too, even though he would never admit it!! After several hours, Marc was ready for surgery and they whisked him away. I was petrified. It seemed like hours before the beeper alarmed notifying me that he was successfully finished, however it was really only about an hour and a half. After he finished I briefly met with his doctor and was told that the surgery went well. Then I had to wait to see him,.....I waited several hours and was super happy when I finally got to see and talk to him. He was groggy, but alert! He immediately said his leg felt better!! YAY!!! His back was sore, but he had surgery!! My mom came in to keep Davis, that night she called and said his fever spiked to 103. I cam home at midnight to help, gave him medicine and a bath and tried to get him and I some rest. Marc was able to come home Wednesday with MAJOR restrictions. Davis' fever was 104.8 last night!! Yikes! Took him today~double ear infection :( I haven't slept in 3 nights...ugh! I just put him down and he was fever free!! Exhausted doesn't begin to describe my current state!
So we are home, Marc and Davis are resting.....I am trying to catch up on everything! Prayers for healing and recovery for my family!!

Monday!

Time is flying by!! I will post pics soon from Halloween!! Jackson was a farmer and Davis was a chicken!! They were too cute!! Jackson tried to drive his Jon Deere, but the rain prevent him from getting a good traction...he was a little disappoint, but the candy helped ease his spirits!!!
We took family pictures this past Saturday..... I am sure they are fantabulous!!!
Tomorrow is a bug and scary day for us.... Marc is gonna have back surgery....he has been having immense lower back, hip, and knee pain....he had an MRI last week and met with the neurosurgeon this morning...unfortunately he has a bulging disk that has chipped off and traveled onto a nerve, causing the pain.....I am worried.......Marc works too hard and I hope he can take time to fully heal. I know this will be hard for him as he is so dedicated to his work! Well.... I must get off to bed as will be up early!! That's all for now........

Davis is now officially one!!!!! I cannot believe he is already one!! We partied on October 15 and he had a blast!! The theme was Look Whooooo's One!! Here is the cake! Mrs. Monica did an amazing job!!

Birthday party eve!!!!

Tomorrow is party day for Davis!!!! I just can't believe how fast this year has gone!!!
More milestones achieved this week! Davis has been smacking his lips to kiss~today he added the hand motion!! Looks soooo sweet!! He has also become a great tongue clicker!!! He is cruising everywhere and can walk behind the walker independently!! Yesterday and today he showed us that be can stand for five seconds all by himself!!! He is soooo proud!!
I will post party pics soon!! I can't wait to see him react to everything!!!!
Jackson is still loving kindergarten! He comes home spelling and reading sight words!! He is also growing way too fast!!
My life is so full and I am so blessed with my boys!!!

Fall!!!!

Fall is finally here!!!! It has been another great weekend with my boys!! Today Davis had his first bath in the big tub!!! He loved it!!! I was surprised at how well he did, but he had a blast!!

He is also into everything!! This morning he attempted to crawl under the three barstools like a tunnel!

Jackson is also loving all the things that Davis can do now! They love playing together!!

I've also been busy! I made a Fall wreath today!

Hmmmm....I had more to say, but I just can't remember!! So....that's all for now!

October!!!

Today is October 1st!!!! Time is flying by!!!! Life has just been too busy to catch up on here!!!
Jackson is loving kindergarten! Practicing his sounds and letters! He has such enthusiasm for school! I hope it sticks!! He has been sick though....took him in and doctors said he was fine. He was coughing horribly, throwing up, low fever...tool him back a week later and he has pneumonia! Yikes!!! I feel so bad for him! The meds are working and he is better now!! Thank God!! I have to say that while his tummy was upset he said, "mom it melted in my pants". I thought this was just too cute not to remember! He went ice skating last week for the first time! He did great!!

Davis is into everything!! He is finally crawling like a normal crawler! He points, claps, and waves!! He is pulling up on everything and cruising on furniture! I can't believe how he has changed!! He will be one in three weeks! We are planning am owl theme...look whooo's one!! Can't wait to see him!! Here he was on 9/19 -11 months!!

Time flies when you're having fun!!

I can't believe how fast these weeks are going!!
This week has been good! Labor Day was Monday....yeah!! No school! We spent the day hanging with each other! Nothing I'd rather do than be with my boys!!
Today was the ECU opener home game...this was also Jackson's first real ball game! He was excited!!! His face was priceless!! I love to see the innocence in his eyes! Here he was in the car....

When we got to the stadium, he stayed close! I don't think he expected so many people! Here he is in the stands!

Another week has left us!

I can't believe how fast time is passing! We had another big week! Last Saturday, hurricane Irene decided to come spend the day with us....she blew and rained on us ALL day!! We lost power, had trees fall, lots of limbs and debris..,..but no real damage!! Thank you God!!
Monday and Tuesday schools were closed for students....so Jackson was eager Wednesday morning to get back to school! He had another great week and is loving it!!! David is getting his front top teeth this week....he's been a little fussy, which is abnormal for him! He also has an ear infection in one ear :( Poor little guy!! He has eaten lots of new things this week.,,sweet potatoes, burger, rice...loves it all!! He also started shaking his head yes!! Well, actually he shakes his whole body!! It's just too cute!!

Countdown to graduation!!! Jackson's first day of school!!!

Today was another big day!! We started early at 5:55.....we got everyone showered, fed, and packed up for school! Marc got permission to go in a little late and go with us this morning. We took Davis to daycare and then headed to Ridgewood Elementary School! Jackson dud great!!!! I struggled, but kept myself composed so that he wouldn't see me and get upset himself......he walked in so big and independent! Then he went down to his room and waited for the bell....there was a friend from daycare waiting outside the same classroom...he was excited and I was relieved! A friend if mine who works at the school texted at lunch to let me know how happy he looked while rating his lunch! I was so glad to hear that he was doing good! He rode the daycare van to open door and reunited with his friends this afternoon!

Today was also a big day for Marc! It was his first day as principal of the high school! He had a great day and was pleased!
In other news, Davis is pulling up on EVERYTHING!!! He is just too sweet!!!
We also have a hurricane headed this way! Irene is headed for our coastline!! Hopefully things will not get too bad around here!!

Another big day with the Whichard's!!!! We had an earthquake!!! That never happens!! I didn't realize what it was when it happened, but we are all lucky that it was minor!
Tonight was open house for Jackson at Ridgewood elementary school! He met his teacher and we toured the school! He picked out a C badge holder to give her..,.so sweet!!! I think he excited about Thursday! Tomorrow is his birthday!!! 5 years old!!! I just live me some Jackson!
Davis hit another milestone tonight~ he pulled up in the couch!!! He's been pulling up in the crib and in small toys, but the couch is high! I got pics that I'll post later!
I need to figure out why my pics are posting so big! I've been loading the on my phone and they fit beautifully on the web version..hmmm.
So I went for a jog/walk tonight!!!! Yay me!! I did 2.25 miles in 30 minutes! I need to find a better sports bra! I lost a nursing pad on the run!! Oh well..,,there is a hurricane headed this way too....hope it turns!!

Just another Monday.....

What a day!!!! Long!! I am mentally and physically exhausted!! Today was "move-up" day at the daycare, so Davis switched to s new room. I have to admit that I had avvery hard time with thus transition. His last class was full of older children and Davis was the baby. This new class is an infant II class. Davis is the veteran and there are many babies. It was really hard for me, because I feel that this is a developmental regression :( I wasn't prepared for a room full of bouncers and boppy pillows....I expected walkers and push toys. I spoke with his teacher and the director and they tried to assure me that this is best for him. I think they are looking at his size and pettiness rather than his age....oh well, I can't help where his birthday falls!!!

Tomorrow night is open house for Jackson at Ridgewood elementary! I can't wait to meet his teacher and his classmates! I am excited for him this year and all the things he will learn!

5 years~Jackson's Party Day

Today has been great!!!! We had two parties today to celebrate Jackson turning five!! He will be five in Wednesday and he starts school on Thursday! Time flies!!!!
His first party was at the church playground! The kids had a great time playing, swinging, sliding, and eating some pizza! The weather was overcast, but not as hot as it has been-thank goodness!!! His BIRTHDAY theme was Smurfs, so we had balloons, and smurfs all over! It was a great time!
Tonight we had the family party! Jackson originally wanted waffle house, but I told him that I didn't think there was enough room. So he rationalized in his head and chose pizza inn. He said that he thought they had tables that were long enough for all of us! Cute!!! We had a good time eating pizza, laughing, and having a good time! Here he was before we cut the cake!!

Tonight, Jackson saw a Venus razor commercial....he said, "you should get one of those mom...then your skin can be flat!" "mm-hmm you want one??" I just love that boy!

He got his bookbag today too! My eyes filled with tears knowing that kindergarten is here! I just cannot believe that he is big enough for school! I look back at the past five years and am so happy and blessed by all the great, happy memories he had given me!! I love you Jackson!!!!

This has been a busy week! School started back for teachers this week :( I can't believe that summer has already passed! This summer has been great! I've loved being with my boys and the memories we've made! Daycare was closed this Friday, so Davis came to work with me! Here he is sitting on my cubby!
