A little turkey, shopping, and potty trainin'

Well it's been a fun break!! I cat believe we're back to work tomorrow! It has been so nice to be off, spend time with family and friends, and relax! I'll start with potty training.....it's been going so well....we moved to pull-ups this weekend....well tonight when we got home, Davis went pee-pee, he jumped up to tell "dada, pee-pee, YES!!" He couldn't find Marc and proceeded to squat a poo in the living room....aaahhhhh!!! What can I say to that?!? I am proud of him, despite this little incident! Jackson found it amusing too! Thanksgiving was good, despite the fact we had some family members not come without telling us.....It is frustrating and I just can't wrap my head around it....I hate it for my boys...I can't make them understand. I pray for the issues to be solved. I had loads of fun shopping with two awesome friends...we had an all-nighter and saw lots of interesting people and found some good deals too! I didn't need much, but I sure had fun getting the deals! Tomorrow, we are back to work and the busy-ness that we call life! That's all for now....

Gobble, Gobble, Gobble!!

Happy Turkey Day!! I can't believe that Thanksgiving is here! It has been such a fast year with just so much to be thankful for! As I smell the turkey, that has been in the oven since 3 AM, I am reminded of my husband and am thankful for all he does for us, me, and my boys! I am thankful for his work ethics, his fathering, and his husbanding! I am also VERY thankful for the "little" blessing God gave me, Jackson and Davis! They are such wonderful blessings and I am soooo grateful that they are mine! Last night, as I was deviling the eggs, I was reminded of my brother....on Thanksgiving he would always eat the egg whites, and I would have the yellow innards! I am thankful for him, even though I don't get to see him often. I am thankful for my parents....they raised me and gave me the best examples of how to love, parent, and to be a Christian,,,,they both love my babies very much and I am thankful for all they do! I am thankful for all my family, from the grandparents, aunts, and uncles, in-laws, to the cousins, to those who are newly added through marriage....I look forward to family gatherings...wish we could see everyone more often....makes me more thankful for the times we do have together! I am thankful for the friends God placed in my life! My bedtime is here this week, and I am sooo thankful for the tears, laughter, and all the memories we have made! I am thankful for my church, my preacher and his wife, and my church friends! I am so thankful that they let me sing and share my talent. I am thankful for education, for mynoatentsnfor encouraging me as I grew up to push harder and strive to be the best, as I result I was able to get scholarships and a great education. This has been a great key in the opportunities of life. I am thankful for my jobs, and my work friends....I am thankful for all my little patients, the headaches they sometimes give me, and the progress and smiles I see when they start to talk better! I am sooooo thankful for communication! I am thankful for shelter, food, and all God has blessed me with. On this thanksgiving day I hope we all take a minute, and think about our blessings and all we have been given and should be thankful for! Happy Thanksgiving!! That's all for now.....

So I picked the boys up from daycare this afternoon and headed home....we always talk about our days and I encourage little Davis to talk about his day too! Well, so done turned on his chatter-button! He was putting words together all night! He started when he saw dee-dee's car, "Dee-Dee home," then "outside walk", and "cook corn!" I was so excited to hear so many little phrases!!! He's been saying a few here and there, and he has lots of odds, but he was showing off tongight!! He called my grandaddy, the greats,to wish him a happy birthday! He is 85 today!! how awesome is that!! He tried to sing along and the he talked to grandma great too! He even sang her the famous "girl" song!! So sweet! I wish the greats lived closer! It's hard with them being so far away from us- I always look forward to the holidays, as we normally get to see them! It is Friday eve!!!! WooHoo and a long weekend too!!!!! That's all for now......

Midweek rush!

I just can't believe how fast life goes...we are so busy, in all that we do that sometimes we forget to enjoy all the moments! It's Wednesday and has been such a full week, yesterday was Election Day.....which we all know is super important, this is a fact that I am just realizing today...don't get me wrong, I have always voted, but this election seemed the most real and important one in my life this far! Well, Marc and I stayed up and watched the results....I prayed! We have tried to talk about the election with our kids, who the president is, and what their role is....we've tries not to talk down about one party or the other. Jackson had an election at school and voted for Romney, so first thing this morning, he wanted to see if he had won..., "mom, do you know who won." Me-"yes, do you?" Jackson-"no, will you tell me." Me-"sure, Mr. Obama won, he was re-elected." Jackson-"WHAT???? how? What? Are you serious??" Oh-the innocence of a child..... That's all for now.......

November....where does the time go?!?

I can't believe that November is already here!! So much to catch up on! It's been a year this week since Marc had his back surgery....it is crazy to think its been a year! He is doing well and being so productive at work! Davis has turned two since I last posted! We had a caterpillar party and he had sooo much fun! He is into everything nowadays! He's talking up a storm, putting two words together! Mama is sooo proud! His favorite foods are grapes, yogurt, and applesauce! His favorite toy is his "ToTo" puppy! He carries it all over! He is also doing great with potty training! He loves to get "marsh" and "whales" for pee-peeing! Jackson is also doing great! He is having a great school year! So smart! He has made a 100 on every spelling test this year! He was asked to be on the Odyssey of the Mind team, and started last week! He loves school and is an amazing reader! He is still a picky eater, but loves tacos and biscuits! We had Halloween last week and the Jackson was a skeleton pirate and Davis was his parrot! They had so much fun! Jackson is completely in love with the holiday and Davis "got it" this year! He would go to the doors, "knock knock" and "more"! He tried to say Trick or treat! They were too cute! Marc's brother Matt, got married October 20, this was an extra special day as we love Matt and Erin so much! Their wedding is also the anniversary of my granny and papa! So glad that love continues! Jackson was the ring-bearer and was oh so handsome! He had a great time at the reception dancing with the older girls! Davis was fascinated by the DJ and the candy bar, that was stocked with "marsh!" It was a great day! It is just sad to look at my boys and realize how quickly life passes....we really need to treasure all the moments....my favorite times are snuggling on the couch, rocking, and singing with my boys! That's all for now.........
